Through good times and bad we stand by your side. We go to all measures to show our Yankee Pride. In 96 you were champs we were so damn proud, we wore our interlocking NY as we stood in the crowd.
Down the parade route we screamed and we cheered.
For our heroes had given us another great year.
We waited for the dreaded winter to pass, 97 came and our hearts you
still grasped. Though you didn't quite make it that year, we had no
worries.
We got all the reassurance we needed from our friend Joe Torre.
He believed in you as we always did, he said there's always next year and he thanked you for the job you did.
Then came 98 oh man what a year. Practically untouchable championship was in the air.
You made it to the playoffs were there ever any doubts. To end the season with a World Series ring was the only way out.
Once again you showed us the champions we always knew and loved. And again we had a parade for the team that no one can ever go above.
So to our Yankees we say thanks for a season to remember. For without our boys in pinstripes how would we get through September?
Now in 99 we've seen good days and bad, you've gotten your postseason spot regardless of the minor troubles you've had.
We wish you all the luck to bring that championship trophy back once again. But win or lose we'll always be your true fans.
